AM on July 30th, a loud crash and jolt occurred, causing the coach to overturn. Amidst the chaos, he managed to escape the coach and alerted the control room and the RPF. He witnessed people screaming and found several trapped in coach B4. Breaking a window, he rescued passengers from coach B4 and assisted a woman searching for her elderly mother who was trapped in coach B3. He also rescued an elderly woman trapped under a seat in coach B4. He recounted rescuing a total of 11-12 people, including Nimai Pramanik, Reena Pramanik, Madhav Mandal, Saraswati Mandal, Lakshmi Bansod, Asha Khanorkar, Raju Sekh, Badal Kumar Das, Sabita Das, Harun Rashid Sekh, Saheb Alam, Subhasish Mandal, and Prasenjit Datta. These rescued passengers praised his efforts during their hospitalization.

Bheed mein, wo coach se bahar nikal gaya aur control room aur RPF ko bataaya. Unhone dekha ki logon ki cheekh pukaar ho rahi thi aur kuch log B4 coach mein fasse hue the. Khirki tod kar, unhone B4 coach se logon ko nikala aur ek aurat ko madad ki jo apni buzurg maa ko dhoond rahi thi jo coach B3 mein fassi hui thi. Unhone B4 coach mein seat ke niche fassi ek buzurg aurat ko bhi bahar nikala. Unhone total 11-12 logon ko bachaya, jisme Nimai Pramanik, Reena Pramanik, Madhav Mandal, Saraswati Mandal, Lakshmi Bansod, Asha Khanorkar, Raju Sekh, Badal Kumar Das, Sabita Das, Harun Rashid Sekh, Saheb Alam, Subhasish Mandal, aur Prasenjit Datta shamil hai.
