The accident occurred near Satellite Junction, where the trial train was running for the first time on a new track. Two students, Radhika and Sadhana, were returning home from their coaching classes and were crossing the track when the trial train approached. Both were killed instantly on impact with the engine. Cabinet Minister Tulsi Silawat met with the families, offering condolences and financial assistance of one lakh rupees each. He also promised to bear the educational expenses of the deceased girls' siblings. He also mentioned the need to take action against the responsible railway officials. The families of the deceased students stated that the track had never been used before, which led to their daughters crossing it, as they were unaware of the upcoming trial train.

Unhone is ghatna ke liye railway adhikariyon ko doshi theraaya hai. Satellite Junction ke paas, jahaan ye ghatna hui, wahaan pehle baar train track ka trial liya ja raha tha. Do ladkiyan, Radhika aur Sadhana, coaching classes se apne ghar laut rahi thi aur track par chal rahi thi. Issi dauraan trial train track par dauri. Engine ki takkar se dono ki maut ho gayi. Cabinet Minister Tulsi Silawat ne parivaaron se mulaqaat ki, unhe sahayta aur ek-ek lakh rupaiye diye aur mar gayi ladkiyon ke bhai-bahnon ki padhai ka kharcha bhi uthane ka vaada kiya. Unhone doshi railway adhikariyon ke khilaaf karwai karne ki baat bhi kahi. Mar gayi ladkiyon ke parivaaron ne kaha ki track pehle kabhi istemal nahi hua tha, isliye unki ladkiyaan track par chal rahi thi, kyonki unhe aane wali trial train ke baare mein pata nahi tha.
