Cyclone Michaung | Southern Railway cancels train services

Due to heavy rains and flooding in Chennai caused by Cyclone Michaung, Southern Railway has cancelled or partially cancelled several long-distance train services. Chennai Central Express (Train No. 22159) has been partially cancelled between Arakkonam and Chennai Central, terminating at Arakkonam. The return train (Train No. 22160) will leave Arakkonam at 4.30 p.m. instead of 1.15 p.m. Southern Railway has also suspended suburban train services and is operating passenger specials every hour in all sections.
