It is very difficult to do that. The nearby 'Darjeeling More' in the roadways have been known for traffic jams for years. Hence, widening of roads is equally important there, if not more. Having mentioned that, a by pass is something that railway should plan out in some way or the other, either by planning elevated corridor at the existing place or via some eco-friendly viaducts from Gulma, along the Sukna forest & other nearby forest regions, that could merge at Bagdogra. A by-pass could become a crucial necessity in the future once the Sivok-Rangpo route is completed & inaugurated.
