presence will be greatly missed yet he will always be in our hearts as a shinning candle that will continue to guide us and inspire us throughout.
The least we all can do is wish for his soul to find peace!!!
Presenting a few pictures of my latest trip to the 'Spiritual Capital of India', Kashi! I took the 13307 super-crawler DHN- FZR Ganga Sutlej Express from DHN to BSB. The AC compartments were well maintained but the sleeper compartments cried for maintainance, the lesser said about the general coaches the better!
Picture taken :- Moto G5(Self)
Picture 1 :- Approaching Varanasi Cantt station
Picture 2 :- Station Board captured in dawn.
Picture 3-4 :- 13307 led by a MGS ALCO
Picture 5-6-7 :- These 3 pictures are very dear to me. This two and several WAM-4 locos were a common sight between GAYA-DHN & RNC-DHN lines when the DC line was active. ( When I took this picture the DC Line hadn't restarted yet.). However even in their deaths this Grandpas are serving Indian Railways as their body shells have been used by the DLW to remake a newer class of locomotives WAG3Cs
Pictures 9-11 :- Dead LKO WDM-3D & a dead LKO WDG-4 in tow departing with the Balamau-Varanasi-Lucknow passenger in tow.
Pictures 12-14 :- Some random clicks at BSB. The train on the far side in 14 is LKO-DDU Ekatmata express.
Pictures 15-17 :- Poorva Express via BSB led by offlink TKD WAP-7 enters BSB while Ekatmata can still be seen in the background.
Pictures 18-21 :- Main station building of BSB, the heritage steam locomotive and finally a distant night shot.
Picture 22 :- Main entrance of Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhay Jn/ Mughalsarai Jn
Picture 23-25 :- ANVT-BGP Vikramshila SF Express
Picture 26-27 :- Some more shots of DDU Jn
Picture 28-30 :- Rajgir-Varanasi Cantt Budhpurnima Express led by GZB WAP-1
It is a very sad co-incidence that the last time I visited this site was after the demise of Mr Vajpayee and now Mr Parrikar has passed away...
