Elementary knowledge of Hindi as well geography is required to interpret this news report. Only maths knowledge won't suffice.
As per report, INR 3676 Cr is only for CG while in the previous year INR 4200 Cr was for entire SECR which coveres vast portions of 4 states CG, MP, Odisha, MH. If we equally distribute 4200 Cr in 4 states, it comes to be 1050 cr per state. Now one can tell easily 3676 is more or 1050 is more.

Arre baba, it was just an assumption. I dont know how much % of SECR is made up of CG. I only meant to say the blogger has not read the news properly and just blaming the reporter's math skill

Amount required to complete pending rail projects in Bihar - Rs 50,000 crores (approx)
Amount alloted in this year's rail budget - Rs 3000 crores (approx) which is 6% of the required amount.
At this rate total amount will be sanctioned in 16-17 years, this is just for the pending projects and completion will take few more years.

Industry is the main reason for demand...Jahan Industry wahin pe population ka migration hota hai mere dost....Mumbai is the best example for this along with Pune, Bangalore, Surat, Ahmedabad etc...toh jab tak baaki states mai rail network majboot nahi hoga...the distance will be longer (see the huge gaps in MP, CG especially). Mumbai toh yahin se hokar nikoge....I do hope that you are getting my points (Im not against the projects in any states, but demant should be very genuine not politically influenced for vote Bank...Jai Hind)

Wo toh Gujrat, Rajasthan mai bhi ban raha hai...isme nai kya baat hui ki load jyada hai....Load har jagah hai....aur jahan population jyada nahi bhi hai wahan par bhi trains chal rahi hai (Metro to Metro city or Major city)...jaise ki MP, CG...

At least the Rail Minister should have put the details in the budget as to which lines doubling work, electrification, guage conversion etc. will be carries out. Is this information available somewhere?

Yes. This time very good allocation of funds.
Even with less allocation and targets railways used to miss. With huge allocations and no targets mentioned i am little bit skeptical of utilization of funds completely or see rapid progress inline with funds allocated.
Hope huge allocations translates to huge work force engaged and huge progress made and early completion.
