more... is being conducted in two parts, from Moradabad to Bareilly and Bareilly to Lucknow. The 328km section sees over 300 trains daily. The survey has determined that land acquisition will be needed in Rampur and Bareilly for the four-lane conversion. Before construction begins, headquarters has approved the conversion of the Ghaziabad-Lucknow railway line to an automatic block signal section. Work on this has already begun, which will involve installing a signal every 1.5km and closing most railway crossings. This railway line is being prepared for high-speed train operation.
