Dilip was apprehended by the RPF and GRP in Kanpur Central, and during questioning, he appeared mentally disturbed. He was later released after being fined by a railway magistrate in Prayagraj. The train's electric engineer commented on the close call, emphasizing the risk of electrocution with the overhead electrical lines and the possibility of a fatal fall from the train moving at 130 km/h.

bahut darr laga, aur train ki power supply band karni padi. RPF aur GRP ne usko pakda aur usko train se utaar diya. Train 20 minute late chali. Kanpur Central pe, RPF aur GRP ne usko pakda. Dilp ka behaviour aisa tha jaise woh mentally disturbed ho. Usko Prayagraj ke railway magistrate ke samne pesh kiya gaya aur usko fine diya gaya aur usko dobara aisi harkat na karne ka bolkar chhod diya. Train ke electric engineer ne kaha ki yeh bahut close call tha aur yeh bahut dangerous tha kyunki overhead electrical lines se electrocution ho sakta tha, aur train 130 km/h ki speed se chal rahi thi toh woh gir bhi sakta tha.
