Hello everyone good morning, dont know where to start from so yea starting from 4th December 2023 i boarded kurj-udz express from kurj to mba to catch Chambal express (mba to pcoi), i travelled in sl of 19665 as journey was short reached mba around 10 minutes delay, from mba i boarded chambal express to pcoi which was around 3 hours late that day, my coach was a1 and was not at all maintained toilet were smelly and dirty, reached pcoi 4 hours late as we had a good 1 hour long unscheduled halt at Naini junction cabin, i think sf tag for Chambal is not a good thing with just 55kmph avg speed, from pcoi i had to go to pryj to catch bbs rajdhani it took almost 1hour to reach pryj as traffic was the there then spent some time at pryj and then boarded my raj at around...
more... 00:32 which was half an hour late and then something happened something which i wasn't expecting, which really made my 1st ever rajdhani journey a nightmare i saw my cabin with full of suitcases and bags a family of 5 was travelling from cnb to bbs and they had like around 13,15 bags ,my seats were 49,51 had to give 51sl to the family as i knew if i didn't do that i would be able to sleep properly (it was heart breaking because i booked this ticket in August thinking that will do rfs and make this journey memorable but sadly nothing happened as planned ЁЯе▓) then next day something more unexpected happened i was not given morning tea and I asked the catering staff for that but he refused to give me saying that" morning ka morning me ho gya" and it was not like ki 11 baje ho I asked him at around 7am for this then i really thought sf and express trains are far superior than so called premium trains atleast they don't charge you a hefty charge, price, had done a complain on railmadad portal and then panty manager came and i had my tea served mind you that was tea made with tea premix not tea bag so it was good ) and i also informed him about extra catering charges i paid for this rajdhani as only three meals are served in this rajdhani morning tea, breakfast and lunch (if you travel from pryj to bbs) which should cost around rs310 but i was charged 400 per person as catering charges so i thought i would get evening snacks also nothing happened in this case unfortunately ЁЯе▓ (baat paise ki nahi hai its just that many people unknowingly pay these extra charges thinking its worth the cost) then i just wanted to reach bbs as soon as possible as my expectations with raj were shattered, breakfast was served at around 8 am which was good especially the cutlet, then lunch was served at around 13:00 pm that was also good and in dessert one patisa (exotic name for soan papdi ЁЯдг) was given all in all meals served on this raj were good problem lies in the behaviour of the catering staff and at last one catring guy came and shamelessly asked for tip i thought to just go angry at him but I resisted my thoughts and didn't say anything bad (just said mere pass nahi hai ЁЯдг) he left my cabin, one more problem with curtains i observed that they were getting out of place everytime any one entered the train i tried many times to keep them in place but they kept going from one side to other as anyone passed i really thought these so called 1st seats in 2ac are not worth it as many times you will not be able to sleep properly as the curtain will keep getting removed away by passing pax, if all this was not enough another shocking thing was my train was overtaken by a duranto ( i know duranto do overtake raj but I didn't knew any train will overtake my train especially considering that it is a tejas raj) finally this long painfull journey came to end and we reached bbs around 2 hours late ( my mother was scolding me as for the past one month i have shared many infos of Tejas raj she literally said in bundlekhandi " udaipur ko sleeper bhi accho hato e rajdhani se" udaipur ka sleeper bhi aacha tha iss rajdhani se, i just laughed at this and said normal trains hi best hai and I rushed to catch ctc puri memu to go to puri as next train to puri was at 8 pm shatabdi and vb so this was the last train till then reached puri at 20:15 pm and really even this memu was good as it was quite empty finally reached puri met my father after 3 long months and after a 35hours plus journey (actually I booked rajdhani thinking that i will board dr gkp special till pryj and also booked a ticket in it but it was cancelled so had to change plans and take 2 trains to reach pryj ) finally in the end i just wanna say jai jagannath
please wait...Translate to EnglishHey guys, good morning! So, let me spill the tea. On December 4th, 2023, I hopped on the Kurj-Udz Express from Kurj to Mba to catch the Chambal Express to Pcoi. I was in second class of the 19665, and the journey was short, so I made it to Mba about 10 minutes late. From Mba, I got on the Chambal Express to Pcoi, which was a whopping 3 hours late that day. My coach, A1, was a hot mess - smelly and dirty toilets. We got to Pcoi 4 hours behind schedule because we had an unexpected hour-long stop at Naini Junction Cabin. Chambal Express with its slowpoke speed of 55kmph is no joke. From Pcoi, I had to get to Pryj to catch the Bbs Rajdhani. It took almost an hour to get to Pryj due to heavy traffic, then I waited a bit and hopped on my Raj at around 00:32, which was half an hour late. Then, the unexpected happened. My compartment was packed with suitcases and bags from a family of 5 traveling from Cnb to Bbs with 13-15 bags! I had to give up my seat 51sl to them, otherwise, no sleep for me. Talk about a nightmare for my first Rajdhani ride! Next day, I didn't get my morning tea, and when I asked the catering staff, he straight up refused saying it was too late for that. Like, what? I requested it at 7am! That's when I realized, maybe the SF and express trains are better than these so-called premium trains. And the nerve of them overcharging for extra meals! After lodging a complaint, the pantry manager served me the tea made with tea premix - not what I hoped for. I also brought up the extra charges for the meals, causing a stir. Breakfast and lunch were good though, with tasty cutlets and patisa for dessert. But man, the catering staff's attitude sucked. Oh, and one guy had the audacity to ask for a tip! I politely declined, saying I had no cash. The hanging curtains added to the drama as they couldn't stay put whenever someone walked by. And to top it off, my train got overtaken by a Duranto! I didn't see that coming. The journey finally ended when we reached Bbs 2 hours late. My mom later teased me in the local dialect, saying even a sleeper to Udaipur is better than this Rajdhani. Normal trains are the way to go, she said. Anyway, I caught the Ctc Puri Memu to head to Puri, arriving at 20:15. It was quite empty, which was a relief. After a 35-hour-plus ride involving changing plans due to a canceled train, I finally met my dad. Phew, what a journey! Jai Jagannath!
