About SBC RAJDHANI :
------------
The Bangalore Rajdhani Express train connect Bangalore and Delhi. It was the fastest service on the Bangalore – Delhi sector. The Rajdhani Express is the 2nd fastest train on the Bengaluru- Delhi sector after Duronto. It is a daily service. It operates as train number 22691 from Bangalore City Junction to Hazrat Nizamuddin Railway Station and as train number 22692 in the reverse direction - four days a week. On the other days, it operates as 22693 / 22694. It covers a distance of 2365 kilometres[1] in Bangalore City Junction to Hazrat Nizamuddin Railway Station direction and it takes 36 hours 30 mins when operating as train number 22691 at an average speed of 72 km/h while its return journey as train number 22692 takes 36 hrs 50 mins to cover 2382 kilometers[2] at an average speed of 72 km/h thus making it the second fastest train on the Bangalore - Delhi sector. It uses a LGD WAP7/WAP4 electric engine till Secunderabad and from Secunderabad it uses WDM 3A of KZJ till Bangalore. It will have a top speed of 130kmph with its Lalgudda WAP7.
Train service 22691/22692 has 11 halts in either direction at Sri Satya Sai Prasanthi Nilayam, Dharmavaram Junction, Anantapur, Raichur, Sedam, Secunderabad Junction, Kazipet Junction, Nagpur Junction, Bhopal Junction and Jhansi Junction. Train service 22693/22694 has 7 halts in either direction at Sri Satya Sai Prasanthi Nilayam, Dharmavaram Junction, Secunderabad Junction, Kazipet Junction Nagpur Junction, Bhopal Junction and Jhansi Junction. Train service 22693/22694 operates on a different route between Bangalore and Secunderabad. The Bangalore Rajdhani generally has a 1 First AC, 4 AC 2 tier, 1 pantry cars, 2 luggage cum generator coach & 8 AC 3 tier coaches taking the total up to 16 coaches. This Rajdhani had an infamous coach composition in terms of livery such that it was also called 'King of Mismatch'. Sometimes it had coaches of 7 different liveries. This mismatch is not seen now after the train switched over to LHB coaches. 22693/22694 received LHB coaches effective 21 April/22 April 2012. 22691/22692 Bangalore Rajdhani also received LHB rakes effectively from 09/08/2012 thus making it to run entirely with LHB since August 9, 2012 (Source:WiKiI)
