In a quick 2 Day trip to #Shirdi, a Close friend and I decided to add a couple of routes to our IR mileage. So it was decided that, instead of returning home the usual way, we would take a train to #Hyderabad, which went via #Aurangabad, #Parbhani, #Parli #Vaijnath and #Bidar.
The 17001 Sainagar Shirdi - #Secunderabad Express is a bi-weekly train which departs Shirdi on Saturdays & Mondays to arrive Secunderabad on Sundays & Tuesdays. It has RSA with 17017/8 Secunderabad

- #Rajkot Tri-weekly Express. We boarded this train on the evening of November 24th. After a sedate run till #Kopargaon, we made up with a brisk run till #Manmad Outer. A slow and sluggish entry into pf6 was lightened up by a jubilant skip of Manmad by the 22121 #Mumbai LTT #Lucknow AC SF. Our dinner arrived here, ordered through the Travelkhana app. It was a bit of an injustice to call it a mixed veg subji, for it had nothing more than Cauliflower and Capsicum.
I called it a day after we left from #Nagarsol. The next morning I woke up, got down from my Upper Berth and freshened up, just as we were nearing #Vikarabad Jn. A Cup of tea at Vikarabad put me in the mood for the day. After a long halt, we swept across the rest of the stretch pretty effortlessly, before being put to Loop in Hafizpet, for the imminent overtake by the 12213 #Duronto Express bound for #Delhi Sarai Rohilla. If not for Hafizpet, we couldn't have been overtaken anywhere else, for there was no more loop all the way till Secunderabad, where the Duronto was supposed to reach ahead of us.
We reached #Begumpet with some marginal delay, and it was an enjoyable run, in a well maintained train. Would recommend this to all.

Train- 51033 Mumbai CSMT Sainagar Shirdi Fast Passenger
Date- 24.11.2018
It was a quick 1 day trip to visit Shirdi temple and come back. For my onward Journey, I decided to take a Flight to Pune and go from there to Shirdi by 51033 Shirdi Fast Passenger. This train comes coupled with 51027 Mumbai CSMT Pandharpur Passenger on Thu, Fri & Sat. On the other 4 days it runs coupled with 51029 Mumbai CSMT Vijayapura Passenger. The 2 rakes run combined till Daund Jn; led by a diesel loco. From there, the Vijayapura/Pandharpur

portion proceeds with the Diesel loco & the Shirdi Passenger is taken over by an Electric Loco (having to proceed in the reverse direction towards Manmad).
That day it was KYN WDG3A 13360 that led us from Pune to Daund; from where we got KYN WCAM3 21957 to haul our 8 coach consist to Shirdi. Our train reached Pune at 06:15; delayed by 25 mins. And soon after we reached; Delhi bound Goa Express departed. Our train was being uncoupled from the Pandharpur portion, while a KYN WCAM3 was being coupled to the other end. Pretty soon; a BSL WAP4 moved light through the mainline; it was powering the late running Azad Hind Express to Pune. After a few mins; the 12220 Secunderabad Mumbai LTT Duronto breezed past towards Pune, led by a GY WDP4D.
Minutes later, we were given the starter just as a parallel action was unfolding a little distance away from us. KJM WDP4D was shunting in the Daund Pune shuttle on to pf2; just as the 12025 Pune Secunderabad Shatabdi slowly skipped through the mainline. We departed at 06:50 hrs; delayed by 45 mins; and briskly accelerated and marched on to Sainagar Shirdi.

under water, and it had rained whole night i slept around 10 after packing up my bags and completing my work .!
Next day i woke up, and saw sunshine after whole night raining. I got fresh and booked my cab for the station from hotel , my hotel wasn't that far from station it hardly took 15 mins for me to get to the station .after reaching the station i went to the pf:- 22 .! Reached hwh station at 8:00 am. at pf:-22 pune - hwh azad hind was already standing , and later the announcement started in Bengali , and i couldn’t understand what they were telling or informing , it was 8:30 and still no sign of the rake , nor any pf had the train number of hwh duronto , i called up my rail fan friends to know what’s the status of 12262 showing on ntes whether its rescheduled or not , and they informed nothing is showing, one of my friends told , are u sure u didn’t miss the train na , I was like no .! I have been standing on station only , later I went to the enquiry desk and saw the counter fully covered with the crowd as if there something worst have happen but , later they informed that due to water filling in the yard and locomotive shed all the departure would be late . I sat were I could find an empty bench , 1 hour went , 2 hr. went , Dad call came up to know what’s that status about the train bcoz it was 3 hrs. Up and after 3 hrs. You can cancel the ticket of the train if it hasn’t yet started; I said I’ll wait for few hrs. if no then ill return back to the hotel and then book the flight tickets as I was dam tired, it was around 12 pm and the announcement started that 12262 hwh – Mumbai duronto express will leave from pf:-18, so all the passenger went to the pf:-18, I saw only hand full of people only going to pf:-18. And then at 1:20 the rake was shunted by KGP WDM3A 16230R.

When I saw the chart of B3, I was shocked seeing it only 8 people in my coach , and that to 4 people from hwh and 4 from tatanager , after I boarded the train I called you my dad just to inform I had sat in the train , the train departed at 2:15 pm from hwh , after departing 2 water bottle were given , and as there were few people , TTE came and checked the ticket , after crossing the waterlogged region and passing SRC the lunch was served , later I decided to take a nap as I was dam to tired sitting at station for more than 6 hrs. , later at 16:30 I woke up and saw that train at halted at outer, and with a jerk it started and saw that it was skipping KGP station it was 16:47, later the train pick up the speed and soon soup were served with bread stick, the soup tasted good so I asked the attendant that could I get one more soup, he gave me one more.! the train was hitting mps of 110-112 km/hr. on my gps , train even ot a goods train through the loop line , reached tatanager at 7:30 pm where I meet amit Kumar , a rail fan living in Tata nagar , the train was running with a delay of 6 hr. 30 mins , skipped Rourkela jn at 8:36 pm after that we even ot a train with emd , but couldn’t know which train it was , after that dinner was served and then I was off to sleep , next day morning we reached Nagpur jn at 6:00 am , 30263 ajni wap7 was standing at outer , and then a surprise came , RPM wap 7 30354 with the Chennai – NZM duronto arrived at ngp ,
After departing from Nagpur jn , AQ 30315 with Sewagram express was standing at the outer waiting for signal , skipped ajni jn through the loop line as freight was on main line , AFTER skipping the ajni jn the mps rampage started , breakfast was served with newspaper and also magazine were given , The train was doing nice mps until we reach akola where the train was halted at outer and also 5 min halt at the station as track work was going on , the famous akola – mhow mg passenger train

Reached bhusaval around 9:30 am bcoz of the delay I was lucky enough to see the ngp – bsl section during the day time , and later then after departing from bhusaval the lunch was served it was tasted better then yesterday lunch , Even we overtook some CST bound train , skipped manmad station at 12:59 pm , after manmad skipping manmad it was just fun to stand on doors and watch the curves and the green nature as it was monsoon time so the greenery was just awesome , after reaching the IGP , it was then the fun time , a parallel action with the gkp jansadaran express down the Ghats , after skipping kasara at 3:01 and halted at kyn for 5 mins , reached kyn at 4:15 , by that time the train was running for the 7 hrs. late , departed from kyn at 4:20 and after departing saw AQ 30270 with Sewagram express , first time got both the Sewagram express one at ngp outer & one at kyn outer , later after that kyn wdp4d 40316 with kornak express passed by , exiting the parshik tunnel the kyn wdp4d 40325 ( gaurav ) + dead kyn wdm-3d 11373 passed . skipped thane jn at 4:35 pm and a parallel run with the Mumbai local, A brand new lhb rake was at nahur yard which was used as CST – karmali ac spl in 2016 The last dc local motormen cabin was with the garbage local at kurla, skipped kurla at 4:53 pm and then tea with snacks were served as it was the last leg of the journey, only few km were left .reached CST at 17:35, 7 hrs. Late of its official timing.

Thanks for reading my blog

Detailed travelogue, Part - 1, Hatia - Pune
So it all started in oct 2017. I had to go to Mumbai for 3 days for some personal work. So the search of trains started as per planned dates. On 12/2/2018 there was no direct train to mumbai from Ranchi. So the option was either go to Howrah/Tata and catch night train to Mumbai or Hatia - pune sf till pune and any intercity from pune to mumbai. I chose the latter one as it would offer me scenic views of Bhor ghats. In return on 18/2 there was 12811 LTT-Hte SF but since I hav travelled in that once ( super train) I tried to choose some other. My search ended

on 12869 from CSTM to TATA. So as per the plan tickets were booked as per the following:
22846 - 3AC - Hte - Pune
12124 - 2S - pune - cstm
12869 - SL - cstm - tata
Now comes the problematic part. After booking the Pune - CST ticket in DQ, I tried to book dormitory at CST but it said no rooms available. Then I booked a ticket in Gujarat express from MMCT to Dahanu. Tried there also but same result. It was simply not believable that 100 beds will be sold out in less than a minute. It took sometime to realize that that the problem was due to change in station codes. Again searched IRCTC and found that Mahalaxmi express from KOP to CSTM is still using old code CST. Quickly I booked a ticket from STR to CST and successfully booked a dorm. लेकिन Deccan Queen नामक कीड़ा शरीर में अब भी कुलबुला रहा था। Again searched IRCTC tourism with changing some digits of my PNR. And voila!!! I got it. There was a passenger travelling from ADI to BVI on 13/2/2018. I looked for dorm for that ticket and found that for BVI destination also Retiring rooms can be booked at CST infact at any major Station of mumbai ( CST, BCT, BDTS). मेरी खुशी का ठिकाना न रहा। Again opened IRCTC, and this time booked PUNE -DR in 12124 DQ and successfully booked RR at CST. Cancelled the Mahalaxmi exp ticket and now I was all set to go. Just 1 week before my DOJ Hte - pune SF got LHBfied and that also with all new coaches. सोने पे सुहागा वाली बात हो गई ये तो। 4 month ARP wait ended on 12 feb 2018. I left home at 7 pm and my father dropped me at the station. Just as our car turned to enter the station parking, we saw the train being shunted from ROU end. On entering the station, the first sight was of New LHB coaches standing on PF3 which was the incoming rake of PUNE - HTE SF. That meant 2 rakes have arrived at HTE. Pune -Hatia was being shunted to yard and just then BWN-HTE Passenger arrived at PF2. After few minutes HTE-PUNE SF was shunted at PF1 by orange coloured BKSC WDM3A and then only a TKD WAP 7 went towards ROU end. Possibly that was the loco for today's journey. I saw the loco was P7 but cannot CNF it was TKD as my coach was at the other end and at PUNE by the time I could get down and reach front end loco had already been detatched and was going away. Saw the coaches, B1, A1 were duronto lovery coaches with no charging points on SL. It was bad. On entering the coaches we were welcomed with nice fragrance of room freshner. Sharp at 8 pm the train honked and slowly crawled out. But hardly we had crossed 4-5 CGS boards we gained enough speed at which it might not hav been possible to get down or board the train. Then only someone pulled the chain and we came to a halt. After a minute we again started and after crossing NIFFT we gained speed and flew past Lodhma, Karra. Till Bondamunda it was non - stop run with crossing and Overtakes of freights. By the time we reached ROU , I spotted a rat running here and there. After departing ROU, the light were off and मू़षक महाराज ने पूरे कोच को अपना राजमार्ग बना लिया था। After departing Rourkela I felt sleepy and spread the bedding and went to sleep. I woke up when the train was ready to depart from BSP. Freshened up and tried to image the outside scenery in dark. It was raining moderately with occassional lightning. At Durg spotted the NZM Humsafar. Looked outside for newspaper but as our coach was at farther end nothing was available. The train continued its stop and go journey and never went on MPS till Nagpur. At Nagpur also tried to find something to eat but only oranges and bananas were available near to B1. The coach attendnt was taking food order but I didn't give as I found it too costly at 130 rs veg thali. As we were entering NGP, a train was entering parallely from left side. I could only see it had SR coaches and could not deduce the train. At NGP the announce ment of 22846 was being made and simultaneously announcement of DDN-MDU was also made. So that SR train was DDN- MDU SF. After NGP run was non stop but at slow pace. At that pace only we arrived Wardha 90 mins behind schedule. But after Wardha the train showed its true SF colours and it was literally flying and stopped only at next stop. This non - stop high speed run continued till Bhusaval and literally till Manmad. The train covrred 35 mins delay till Manmad and now was 60 min late. At Manmad I received the food I ordered on Railyatri which delivered via Yatra chef. The veg thali costed 165 rs but I felt I had been robbed. The food was totally bland, exception being the Dal. Also the quantity was also less as per claimed on the app. But now what could I do? Whole day I hadn't eaten anything and thus ate that bland food ( will give a reply to railyatri app). After Manmad we halted at Kopargaon for almost half an hour. I thought Kopargaon would be big citing major religious tourism hub Shirdi is nearby but it was very small. Not even adequate lighting was there on PF2. Decided to hav some sleep but the jerks were good enough to wake up Kumbhkarna. Anyhow lied down and I slept probably for 1 -
2 hour so when a charcterstic jerk of LHB coaches was felt as the train stopped at Daund. The loco reversal was done but still we had an elongated halt of 45 min. After that the train ran at good speed ( not MPS) and 3am we were crossing Pune suburbs and finally at 03:20 we were at PF 3 of Pune. The staff at PUNE is so quick that in a mere 5-7 mins loco was detached and was going away. Took a stroll along the length of train and found out all the coaches were new except B1, A1 ( unlucky ones). Also S1 belonged to NR. Except that all others were new coaches with SER markings. Asked from a tea vendor about Deccan Queen PF. He said PF4 and now I am at PF4 writing this. Stay tuned for next part. May be won't upload quickly but would surely write all parts by 21st feb. Thank you for reading.

Trip report in 12362
Hi all, well, here I am with a trip Report, this one, On board 12362/CSTM - ASN sf from CSTM to PNBE. So, here is how the trip went.
Day-1:
Arrived at pf12 of CSTM station at 1045 hrs on board the legendary Deccan Queen.
We
...
rushed to pf15 where our connecting train to Patna, 12362/ was waiting to depart. Itarsi(ET) ELS based WAP4 #22981 was all set to Haul us till Itarsi. We settled in our Berths, Side Berths as always!! It was a 2011 made coach with charging points at Berths, Awesome Maintenance by ER. Super clean rake, coaches Not less than 2010 made. It was looking like a ISO Certified train in every sense.

At 11:05 hrs, we were given the Starter and we were off, Departing bang on time from CSTM. Crusing through the mumbai Suburbs, had a short Parallel action with 22511/ Karmabhoomi Express bound to Kamakya(KYQ) near Vidyavihar as it departed from Lokamanya Tilak Terminus (LTT) and was Joining the Main Line led by WAP-4 from Bhusawal(BSL) ELS and a WAM-4 led Sewagram Express!!
On the Approach to Kalyan, we crossed a PUNE DLS based WDG3A led 17032/Hyderabad - Mumbai Express a.k.a ROD or SUPER CRAWLER due to the Extreme Slack this train has. At KYN, me met another KYN WDG3A 'SHAKTI' led Jalna - Dadar Jan Shatabdi Express.
Departing from KYN and diverting towards Manmad(MMR), We met LTT bound Godavari express led by AJNI ELS Based WAP-7 locomotive, arrived at kasara at 13:34 hrs were WAG-7 twins were attached to our train at the rear to act as bankers and help in pushing Up the Thull Ghats. We crossed WCAM-3 led 12597/ Gorakpur - CST Jan Sadaran Express. Departed Kasara and into the Thull Ghats (Part of Western Ghats), after Half an hour ride into enjoying the Awesome Thull Ghats, we Arrive Igatpuri, at 14:03 hrs were the Banker Locomotives were removed before we set off further.
Had a Awesome, High Priority Non stop run all the way till our next halt at Manmad 200 odd kms away. Such was the clearance that we reached Manmad a good 10 mins beore time, Oh Yes, You guys can guess what happens if a train enters or say, wants to enter a Major Juntion Before time. Well, you guessed it right, Stopped at Home signal (Outer) before we were allowed to enter the Station about 2 mins late at 15:50 hrs, and it was Clash of big guns in MMR, with Nizamuddin Bound Karnataka Sampark Kranti, Bangalore bound Karnataka Express, Amritsar bound Sachkand Express, all arriving one behind the other. And of course, the Down Main line was Kept Empty for A LEGEND, 12860/ Gitanjali Express led by Santragachi ELS Based WAP-4 #22272 to make its presence felt and skip Manmad at a Brisk pace.
Departed Manmad at 16:10 hrs, a Delay of a 20 mins which was thankx to Karnataka Sampark Kranti which was given preference over us to depart MMR first. and Amritsar bound Sachkand departed right behind us and we started yet another non - stop, high Priority run towards our Next halt, Bhusaval, a good 180 kms away just to reach, I must say, Bhusaval Home (Outer) at 18:10 hrs, covering the 180 km distance at a Staggering average of 90 kmph for a normal super fast That too being a WEEKLY!!! Such was the Priority. It literally gave karnataka Sampark Kranti, a run for its money I must say.
We were received onto the pf at 18:19 hrs with Karnataka Sampark Kranti standing right beside us on the Adjacent Platform and announcement was being made for arrival of Sachkand Express too!! Now, i did not have anything since Bread and Cutley of Deccan Queen s Dining Car, So, took Dal rice and trust me, It was the WORST Dal Rice I ever Tasted and not gonna eat anything in BSL ever again!!
Departed BSL at 18:36 hrs, Again a delay of 20 mins, all thanks to Karnataka Sampark Kranti Express. The next 120 kms of the Journey towards Khandwa (KNW) was a more of a Start - Stop affair , Something in Contrast to the Journey till now, so much so that Inspite of Slack Provided in this Section of the Journey. we arrived KNW at 20:40 hrs, Delayed by 5 mins, covering up only 15 mins , Tried Eating Chole bature over here which tasted 100 times better than Dal Rice at BSL.
Departed at 20:50 hrs, A Delay of 10 mins, For another Strech of Non - Stop 183 km run to Itarsi (ET) where Loco Change would take place and and the loco in charge of my train, 22981 was to give way for a Diesel Locomotive to take charge. Arrived, well. Itarsi Home (Outer) at 23:00 hrs, thus marking another blazing run covering 183 kms in 2 hrs 10 mins. Then we made a parallel entry into ET along with Karnataka Sampark Kranti, and as we stopped on pf4 for a Scheduled halt and a Loco Change, K.S.K made a Unscheduled halt on pf1 before bidding us 1 final goodbye as it veered off towards Jhansi and we were to take the other line towards Jabalpur.
Me n my bro, Being Adrant EMD Fans, were praying for a EMD to haul us from ET, and stayed awake just to see the Loco change but all our hopes drained when we saw that a Alco, Gonda Ka Munda, WDG3A # 13560 came in to take charge in Short Hood Forward(SHF) mode. Departed ET after the Loco change at 23:20, A delay of 5 mins. as we said, "That's all folks" For the Day!!!!
Spottings on Day 1:
1. PUNE WDG3A #13549 with 17031/ Hyderabad - Mumbai Express
2. KYN WDG3A #13497 'SHAKTI' with 12072/Jalna - Dadar JS
3. HWH WAP-4 #22858 led 3 hrs late 12262/Howrah - CST Duronto Express
4. BSL WAM-4 #21359 with 12168/ Varanasi - LTT Superfast
5. ET WAP-4 #25035 with 12294/ Allahabad - LTT AC Duronto Express at Kasara
6. ET WAP-4 with 15018/Kashi Express at Nasik Road
7. BRC WAP-4E #22560 with 12336/Bagalpur - LTT Express at Manmad
8. SRC WAP-4 #22272 led LEGEND 12860/Gitanjali Express at Manmad
9. MLY WDG3A twins led AII -HYB Express
Day 2:
After a Short nap, woke up to find that we reached Jabalpur at 2:30 hrs, delayed by a mere 5 mins covering 240 kms in 3 hrs at an Avg of 80 kmph. Now, I'm really beginning to love this train. Avg of 80 kmph goes to show the Kind of Priority this train gets. After a Brief halt of 10 mins, we departed Jabalpur at 2:40 hrs maintaining that 5 mins delay and I was off to another brief Nap.
After another innings of Brief nap, Woke up at 5:20 to find ourselves Entering Satna juntion and the temperature was Freezing cold, Freshed up and had a Hot cup of Tea. We were really on a Roll as we reached Satna wth a Mere Delay of 10 mins covering 190 kms from Jabalpur to Satna in 2 and half hrs at avg of 76 kmph with a 5 min halt at Katni!!!!! Amazing as it may seem but wow. Departed at 5:30 hrs, again maintaining that 10 mins delay ( Such Accuracy, Much Wow)
The Cold made sure I go into another innings of Sleep which was my final innings before the innings ended at 8:30 hrs when i woke up to see that we were Cruising through at MPS and the Gonda Beauty was doing a Terriffic job indeed with the 22 coacher Load. At around 9:10 hrs, we switched Tracks at Link Juntion Cabin to by Pass Allahabad and join the Delhi - Howrah Grand Cord line at Chheoki Junction were we had a Unscheduled halt for a good 15 mins ( 1st such Halt in entire 1,354 km stretch we covered till now) . After departing, It was Business as usual as we were back at MPS and and then came the big Disappointment, A Big Miss, the TRUE LEGEND IN EVERY SENSE, 12311/Howrah - Kalka Mail, which just completed 150 Strong years in its Service to the Nation whizzed past us and i couldn't capture it. Following it closely was 12505 / North East Express with a CNB WAP-4, which was again closely Followed by 12819/Odisa S.K led by WAP-4 of GZB. Arrived Mirzapur at 10:35 hrs, Before Time by 3 mins
