Jab main logon se Begun Kodar directions puchta hu Purulia district, West Bengal mein, log heraan aur dare hue dikhte hain.

Paddy fields se gheri hui, kuch mile doori pe bhi koi insaani zindagi ki koi nishani nahi dikhti, station aur uska building lagte hain strange aur forbidding. Tum time mehsoos karte ho ki Begun Kodar bhi badal gaya hai.
"Kam se kam 700 se 800 passengers utarte hain station pe daily, scary stories ke baawajud," kehta hai Swapan Kumar, jo dukaan chalata hai hand-pulled cart me food aur kuch essential items se bhar ke station ke andar.
"Mera peti bharta hai, ab tak kisi bhi bura anubhav nahi aaya last two years me."

"Shayad, koi yahaan kaam nahi karna chahta kyun ki Naxal heartland me aata hai aur woh log ise darane ke liye yeh kahani banate hain," woh kehta hai.
Bilkul, ye station located hai thick forest range end pe jo ek part hai "red corridor" ka -- areas jo Naxalite insurgency se affected hain.
Purulia me hai entry point Bengal ka Naxals ke liye Bihar aur Jharkhand se.
Station ke re-opening me bhi hui controversy, CPI (M) supporters ne blame diya Banerjee-paar cash karne ke liye efforts banaye Basudev Acharia, CPI (M) member of Parliament se Bankura se.
"Since, 1990s se, Acharia laga rahta tha bilkul open karne ka station ko. Just pehle state assembly elections, TMC ko moka mila. Zameen me hai gehri associations Santal tribe ke liye, jo main vote bank hai is belt mein," Bhajori Mahato, ek CPI (M) supporter kehta hai.
