Just after we had reached Belda, completed the breakfast at a nearby market, and came back to the station to do train-spotting, the signal of the down line almost immediately changed to green, and we knew what was there on the cards.

by 22825 SRC WAP- 4, the heavyweight of SCR, i.e. the 12703 Howrah (HWH)- Secunderabad (SC) FALAKNUMA Superfast comes curving, gallops Belda, and then speedily races past us while producing melodious sound over the points. The train was incidentally a 25 coacher on the day. Belda is situated on the Kharagpur- Bhubaneshwar stretch.
The train is named after The Falaknuma Palace, Hyderabad, which means - Mirror of the Sky/ Heaven. It follows the Secunderabad- Nalgonda- Guntur- Vijaywada- Rajahmundry- Samalkot- Vishakapatnam- Brahmapur- Khurdah Road- Bhubaneshwar- Balasore- Kharagpur- Santragachi- Howrah route.
