Today is a historic day, as it marks 61st Anniversary of 25kV electrification of Indian Railway.
1st section electrified with 25 kV AC system was RajKharsawan–Dangoaposi on SER on 15/12/1959 and first electric train run. Currently 74% of freight is hauled by Electric Traction.

Dear Yash ATM and Rahul ATM.Please mark Rajkharsawan to Bondamunda as Construction Tripling. I have visual proofs. 3rd line is being constructed and at the same time Electrification for the 3rd line too.
