In future if trains like Balaji express run on new diverted line, then loco reversal will not be required, if the train skips AJJ, loco reversal would be required if there is a halt at AJJ.
It will not be closed, but it will mostly be used only for departmental works. After the new line is opened, all trains towards CGL are expected to bypass AJJ through the Melpakkam bypass.
