Agreed. Now that the Kacheguda - Chennai Egmore train has been extended to Chengalpattu (at least until now it was kind of dedicated to Chennai), it is now being extended to Puducherry. Also, the Chennai - Hyderabad Superfast is supposed to be short-terminated at Cherlapalli anytime and an extension of Charminar to Kanyakumari is being requested by some associations (which I wish should NEVER happen). I highly wish that an overnight train should be operated between Hyderabad and Chennai via Guntur in such a way that it departs behind Simhapuri Express at Secunderabad and arrives in late morning in Chennai, and in return, it should depart behind Tamil Nadu Express from Chennai and arrive before Konark at Secunderabad. Also, I don't know why Vande Bharat was not considered in this stretch.

I agree that timings beyond morning for disembarkation will be quite uncomfortable. The reason I mentioned such late timings was that there is no late-night option available as of now. The last train departs by 6:30 PM itself. Many, including myself, have taken the Simhapuri - Pinakini transfer at Nellore, as there was no other option if I wanted to depart after 8:00 PM. Instead of saying that there wouldn't be any takers, I'd humbly say that such a train must be tried. Any time after 9:00 PM is good for me, bidirectionally. Another reason I suggested the Guntur route is that it would be complementary to the present timings of 12603/4.

You are following the TT in the book, which SCR never adheres to, and running trains, which applies even to Duronto. Godavari, Padmavati, Simhapuri, VSKP KCG express have to be overtaken daily. Narayandri, Gautami also clash between Bibinagar and Charlapalli as slack is given from SC to LPI and they always arrive at 5:30.

Ideally, VB sleeper should be 800 to 1500 km should be targeted first to be covered in 9 to 18 hours and make them overnight journeys which now take 14-24 hours. From Hyd to all south metro cities Chennai, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Tirupati and Visakhapatnam.
