In E-Locos the Pantograph produces sparks when it slightly looses contact with OHE, While in D-Locos, it also produces Fire granules through the Funnel or Exhausts, though these sparks and Granules are not Threat to Person Travelling or Standing beside the train, but it would be a Disaster if it comes in contact with the Highly Flammable content loaded in the Tanker wagons, hence a Dummy wagon is used, the wagon can be any freight car varient like BOXN, BOBYN, BCN or Caboose, it also helps in reducing the jerk from the Locomotives while coupling or while in movement. If coupled directly, the oil in the first wagon would spill out, due to frequent jerks.
