In a rainy evening, onboard 16354 Nagercoil Junction - Kacheguda Express from Namakkal to Kurnool City, hauled by Vijayawada based Kavach equipped WAP - 4 22598 arriving namakkal in mainline platform, that is platform - 2, where as 20672 Bengaluru Cantt - Madurai Vande Bharat has been sidelined at platform 3 to give way for our train. Though Vande Bharat has priority above that of rajdhani, but still due to the perks of single line, such things are happening.

On time running 20672 Bengaluru Cantonment - Madurai Junction Vande Bharat Express is getting looped at platform 3 at Namakkal for its scheduled halt and for crossing with 16354 Nagercoil Junction - Kacheguda Express that was made to arrive at the mainline platform, which is platform 2. It was captured today.

Some important points to be noted about this vandebharat...

First... This route has been postponed since CBE BNC VB innaguration. At that time itself this route got priority but later allocated to Coimbatore route despite of UDAY EXPRESS on the similar route. Later one more time rake allocated to SR but that has been transferred to Ernakulam and later on that particular rake completely transferred to SMVB KLBG VB so once again it's a big disappointment for SR peoples. T-18 RAKE NUMBER 61 and after some weeks pitline trial conducted which confirms that this rake is just only allocated for MDU BANGALORE VB. Later then this rake was completely parked at MANAMADURAI for nearly 5 months with complete RPF Z+ security. Inbetween some announcement came that this is about to be inaugurated along with Nagercoil VB on June month by Hon. PM but due to unavoidable circumstances this ceremony has been postponed and in this time the Trial runs were successfully completed between MDU - SMVB via TPJ, SA, TPT and in that trial itself it reached the destination by 45 minutes earlier. And once again it was Parked at MNM. But in the meantime there were proposal by SWR to run this VB as special service but SR denied it due to unknown reason. And at last finally new TIMETABLE itself arrived (along with train numbers) with some major modifications today...

Modifications include =
1. Additional stoppage for this VB at NAMAKKAL
2. New Destination at Bangalore. Initially planned to operate till Sir M Vishveshwaraya Terminal (SMVB / SMVT) but now changed as Bengaluru Cantonment (BNC).
3. 45 minutes early arrival for 20672 BNC MDU VB which created another competitor for VAIGAI EXPRESS.

The 61st Vandebharat TRAIN 18 express rake which is presently parked at Manamadurai Junction is attached here.
