Returned from HWH to DGR on this train (12341) yesterday, and it was a bit disappointing. This train is known for its speed and punctuality, but despite being on a high-MPS track, it crawled up to DKAE. It briefly hit 130 kmph thereafter, but only for a minute or less.
It reached DGR at 20:35, 10 minutes behind schedule. I wanted to compare it to 12339 (this one takes 5 min less), but it didn’t meet expectations. It stayed 10-18 minutes late throughout and even had an unscheduled stop at KAN for 3-4 minutes!

the bright side, traveling in 2S instead of GEN was comfortable, with plenty of snack options from local vendors (and a WS from BWN, fortunately).
I know every train has its off days, and I hope my next journey shows this one at its full potential.

Divison has to follow the order of HQ. But HQ is not interested for benefit of passengers. No of freight train in BWN SBG section , NFK AZ section has increased very much . Even Premium train like Shatabdi is being made to stop at intermediate stations just to pass Freight trains .
All branch route of ER are freight route now

I wonder why HWH Division and ER as a whole are hell bent on screwing up one of their NSG-2 stations, and yes, I am talking about Bardhaman Jn.
Neither of the two newly launched VBs is stopping at the second biggest station of HWH Division after departing from HWH!
22309 is stopping at a station like Nonihat which is unlikely to fetch any passengers at all, while subtly skipping BWN.

is given 16 car trainset whilst it isn't terminating at either BSB,DDU or PNBE! Meanwhile it will directly be competing with one of ER's Shatabdi for patronage upto DHN.
Either or both of this trains should have been given a halt at BWN.
BWN maybe in the Kolkata Suburban Railway but the peculiar way it get's neglected is not seen in other metropolitan systems be it in Chennai or Mumbai!

Railway assumes stations in West Bengal have good connectivity by default. On top of that ER takes BWN as suburban head for granted. Only premium chair car train i.e. NJP Shatabdi which halts at BWN fetches ~55 assignations in each direction.
Similar examples exists. PNBE HWH VB skipped DGR in initial tentative TT. Later added after political intervention. Now look at the patronage it provides. TATA-PNBE VB also avoids PRR inspite of slot availability and better path. Infact all new trains introduced recently avoids PRR after CNI.

Many foolish decisions are there by default in ER, and nothing is done to rectify it. 22303 should have ideally been HWH-BSB rather than HWH-GAYA with extra stops. Not much logic in running only till GAYA with a 16 car rake, that too running being behind RNC Shatabdi upto DHN. ER people have not learnt much post HWH-DHN DD debacle it seems. And BWN has always got stepmotherly treatment by ER, just because of being a hub of suburban trains. In ER's eyes its okay for 22301 to reach 30 mins BT everyday at MLDT, but the train won't halt at BWN. Atleast speed up the train a bit for god's sake. Its similar for all other major SF trains too, so many trains skip BWN, specially through the chord line. Ironic isn't it that we find ourself in a situation that two premium trains from the same CDO are competing for patronage, such clownery can only happen in ER!
Kolkata as a city is a early riser. Early morning transportation is excellent. 22303 could easily be preponed by an hour and run upto BSB. Yes the e2e TAT at BSB would be minimal and it would probably reach HWH at around 22:00 hours, but there would never be any doubt on the patronage. All 16 cars would be filled up, the demand in the KOAA-BSB sector is so high year long. Even 12019/20 has a minimal TAT @RNC. Like you said it seems that ER hasn't learnt anything from the HWH-DHN

See here is the thing, there is a pattern in which Basukinath Mandir is visited.
First you go to Baba Baidyanath and then you visit Baba Basukinath. Basukinath is not advised to be visited exclusively.

Anyways it is anyday better to deboard at DUMK rather than Nonihat and take direct transportation into the temple.

ER has a different kind of love affair with BHP. As NJP VB is already stopping at BHP, this BGP VB could have skipped BHP and instead stopped at BWN. BWN would have also fed passengers from DGR and PAN.

I believe expressing frustration over social media won't help. If we (residents of BWN) need to improve the situation, then we need to act. If we can agree, then I would be happy if we, the BWN based railfans can meet someday to discuss on it to find out a way to demand, or to chalk out further action if the demands are turned down.
