First of all the basic conclusion or demand of this thread is to run the current running MAQ-MAO VB Upto Mumbai as there is little to no occupancy on weekdays as it is already dying a slow death, making it a liabality for SR if it had been a normal train the story would have been different but VBs entail higher maintenance and operational costs. And yes I saw your screenshots let them be Sleeper buses nobody wants to travel in a Non-sleeper bus if a journey is taking more than 20 hours, particularly considering the challenging terrains along the route making you feel dizzy sometimes. Whereas, if this VB is extended upto Mumbai at least Mangalore and Udupi will have direct access to Mumbai in 12 hours or so. Also if it still doesn't get that much occupancy or acquires half of the occupancy the rest of the occupancy will...

I just got intrigued because in my opinion you didn't get the proper context of this thread. The way you shared about Kerala express and AII-NDLS Shatabdi is because you have travelled in it so you have an idea how things go on ground. Similarly, we have the ground idea about KR Region what is going on and what should happen eventually beneficial for everyone. In conclusion, they can't run it empty or unless some magic happens and it runs housefull, it is not viable to extend it upto ERS nor to UBL only option is Mumbai.
please wait...Translate to EnglishYo, so basically what everyone's chatting about here is to extend the current MAQ-MAO VB train all the way to Mumbai. Weekdays are dead quiet on the train, making it a total snooze fest. If it was a regular train, it'd be cool, but VBs are high maintenance and cost a pretty penny. I peeped those screenshots of Sleeper buses - ain't nobody trying to ride in a Non-sleeper bus for over 20 hours, especially with all the twisty roads. If we stretch this VB to Mumbai, Mangalore and Udupi peeps get a sweet 12-hour ride straight to the city. Even if it's not jam-packed, folks from Madgaon and Ratnagiri can hop on, spreading out the crowd. People won't mind chillin' for 12 hours on this trip 'cause it's comfy and safe - ain't no bus vibe here. In the Southern States, folks can afford to travel, so it's all about makin' sure the service is top-notch. We're all about maximizing what we got for the benefit of everyone. Basically, unless a miracle happens and the train's packed, ain't worth extending it to ERS or UBL - Mumbai's the way to go.
